Good morning Las Vegas Zondra cool art with it's where I am. Today, we're talking about basketball. What are the benefits of playing basketball? Well, there's physical benefits. But there's also mental benefits of playing basketball. So, basketball helps manage stress. It's a great stress reliever, get out there and shoot some hopes. And also, it boosts self esteem. It helps to alleviate depression. And it also enhances work performance. So we're going to talk to some people who know a little bit about basketball. And we're also going to talk to some people who are in the rap industry. So we have a guest or two, possibly talking about being an artist on rap a lot records. So they're expanding to the West Coast. And we have one of their artists, by the name of p, who will be on to talk about what he's doing, and how he's involved with rap a lot. And basketball. Good morning, Victor. There we go. Good morning, and welcome to it's where I am. Victor battle is an actor, and also the founder of hoop shots TV. So, Victor, I was talking about the positive attributes of basketball, and how they help us with our not only our physical, but our mental state, right. And I know you, yeah, and I will I invited you, because you're doing something out here in Las Vegas, pertaining to basketball, and also hip hop. So tell us what you do on what's going on?

Unknown Speaker 2:56
Well, first, I'd like to say thank you for having me on the show. And yes,

Unknown Speaker 3:04
it's my pleasure. My pleasure. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 3:07
And you know that the thing is, I'm doing something with hip hop. And I just want to point out right off the top that hip hop and basketball, in my opinion, are always connected. And I say that's why you always notice all the basketball players want to be rappers and all the rappers want to be basketball players. And so is this a synergy? That's right there. And I use that understanding and knowledge to kind of create, like the premise of my company. And then my I have a client, Mark Peters rappeler T, who's actually a proven basketball player, as well as a proven rapper. And to me, that's like the ultimate.

Unknown Speaker 3:54
Okay. Cool. So what are you and P working on?

Unknown Speaker 4:02
Well, I'm wrapping up Wes and I were doing a program that I have called stage at home. And we started it during the pandemic where we gave artists the opportunity to perform from their house. And then rapidly West selected artists bought that artists unit artist coming to LA and went to the studio with him produced and created three banks. So the artists were forgetting beats on the internet just getting you to beat to get in beats from JF want to be who's worked with future and Nipsey Hussle and artists like that. So I just thought that opportunity was great. And it all stems from you know who shots and in us looking to create the purest form of hip hop and hip create hip hop is just for Um, and that stems from basketball.

Unknown Speaker 5:02
So you have hoop shots, excuse me, hoop shots TV, but you also have hoop shots. The gym, is that right? There's basketball going on there.

Unknown Speaker 5:17
Yeah, we have a facility in here in Vegas is Las Vegas Valley sports complex. I'm a support owner over there. Coach Marcus, you know, brought me in with that. And it's fantastic. Because it allows me to give my clients the opportunity to come to a gym, where they can do a submission videos, and I use those videos to, to submit them for movies and commercials, for example, as today. In Delaware, we're doing a movie called hustler with Adam, LeBron James is producer on it, Apple Sandler is a star. And I have a couple of basketball players that are appearing, and that movie is shooting right now. And they use the videos that they did with me the submission videos, I use those videos descending to get those opportunities. So okay, so

Unknown Speaker 6:22
yes, because you are a talent agent as well, you got a lot going on?

Unknown Speaker 6:28
Well, you know, we take our time. So it's not a lot when you look at the big picture, you know, but, and I kind of like the job, just like a temporary job agency. Because to me, when you go when you get a temporary job if you're going to work, but even if it's a long term, you know, they're gonna let you go, Well, I feel that's the same entertainment industry. You know, I mean, my two year run whatever, they caused me to come, we're, we're not doing this anymore, right. And I'm fine with that. So for me, if you take the camera away, the same thing with entertainment history, I see you don't do commercial, you hire you a day, two days, it's over, do the job and come back. And that's why a lot of times I work with a lot of the new talent coming in, because they don't have the pre Madonna attitude, you get people who kind of appreciate the opportunity. And they're looking at it as well. I don't know much about this guy. But if this opportunity is real, I believe in myself, and I know I'm going to, but and that's that's kind of what the relationship that I have with the people. And it's, it's more of I mean, at this stage in my life, I've transition more into coaching. So if I meet someone who I feel, I guess has a date with destiny, those that have people kind of work with his clients, and work at promoting them in marketing and branding them. And that's my relationship with Mark. Okay, so I'm not in, in the record industry. But Mark is my client. And that's how I got the relationship with within the rap business with rap la West. And it's just that, you know, it comes from basketball, and that's why I love it, because organic.

Unknown Speaker 8:31
You know, let me redirect for us for a second because I want to make sure I mentioned again about the event on September 15. At the Clark County Public Library, right on Flamingo the library of Performing Arts exact, so that's on a Wednesday. And with that, you know, I think it's also so great that you're working with kids, because you also have a mentoring program for for kids in school. Can you tell us more about that

Unknown Speaker 9:05
so often about that's not so often about Yeah, well, we are going to do is rappel out west, Mark Peters, who works with kids all the time. We're doing what's called a study party. Okay. And basically, we're going to be I went TV, an Eastern is, you know, is free for the kids to come down. And they get the opportunity to meet the mentors. You know, if you have if you have any kids that were interested in being artists, and they may have some questions for rap black tea, or Jaya or body mass, of course for myself about acting or the industry or even if you were to grace us with your presence if you donate a Mentos we have but the thing is the kids in order to do that, they have to bring an assignment and they have to work on that as I met with another student that they don't know. And my goal is for them to, you know, network in education. And now, I feel that the attitude that we're trying to inject into the students, I feel that the people that run the education system currently don't have that attitude. And I think, oh. And then I think that that will solve some of the problems.

Unknown Speaker 10:33
Well, it'll help create motivation, it'll help create motivation for the kids. And that's always a good thing. You know, it's like, maybe you're having a hard time in math, you can get with some other student, and you guys work it out, figure it out, the best way, I, as far as I see with my kids, is when they're in tutoring, and they're working with each other, and they're working it out together. So I think it's a great program that you're putting together. And it's great that I went TV is involved as well.

Unknown Speaker 11:07
Right. And I think the fact that we're talking about studying, and we get in entertainers to talk about studying, mission accomplished, right, right. So let's do that, in effect with doing that, I feel that anything else that happens from that, you know, from for myself, my own selfish desires, you know, that works out cool, but I'm so happy that we're talking about studying

Unknown Speaker 11:36
where and then also the reward being, you know, meeting, you know, an artist or someone you, you know, aspire to be, or learning more about, you know, the industry. And so that's a wonderful reward.

Unknown Speaker 11:52
Yeah, and yeah, and then again, you never know, you know, a crazy story. gentleman whose it is a is an actor, in my mother when he was a kid, and he remembered the conversation we had, he was 13 years old at the time, and he's, you know, he's big star ransom again. You know, it's pretty cool. So awesome. You never know. You know, who lives you touch how you touch a lot. Especially, you know, we've been positive.

Unknown Speaker 12:23
True. Absolutely. And so, again, we're talking about the benefits of playing basketball, and how it is a great way to relieve some stress. Right? It helps with and eye coordination. Correct. So, yeah, yeah, it helps with those motor skills and coordination. So you know, what better way to reduce that stress and get focused than to play a game of basketball now I don't play I have the height, but I don't play

Unknown Speaker 13:04
therapeutic. Yeah. Yeah. It's also I'm almost acting in a sense and it's a lot of things like because of intention Do you understand what I mean about that? Well, intention so if I'm playing the person in my intentions are destroyed my intentions are for that I'm a killer.

Unknown Speaker 13:33
Oh, in terms of the competitive aspect of the game,

Unknown Speaker 13:37
well, noted. Attitudes you have to trigger.

Unknown Speaker 13:40
Oh, okay.

Unknown Speaker 13:41
I'm sorry, not to me. It just takes something you know, is three seconds in the game and you're going to stop on a dime and pull the shot up. It takes something you know to me in in just tapping into that in in being met a lot being allowed to kill in execute. Yeah, it's unbelievable, you know, so it's such a freedom and I think what everybody identifies with it because you get to you know, be a bad man out there like Steph Curry is a bad man Yes. A density to do you know, he just went to the ball from 30 feet in the air you know, to me like does that or even just like when I was in you know, crossover Michael Jordan. You're not supposed to do that. Well, you mean us was it I want to try and kill everybody in my head, so he had to embrace some energy to even do that in this. In those are things that carry over in in life, it seems, you know, a lot of stuff that happens for me from basketball. A lot of times, like I remember one time, we drove cross country with me, my son and his mother. And we went to, like, Southside Chicago. In my son's mother's you know, she's attractive, you know, so we're outside playing ball in. But instead of them wanting to fight me, they read the call somebody up and tell them to come down and play me. Oh, yes. Yes, we think you know, what basketball

Unknown Speaker 15:25
is kinda like a dance battle?

Unknown Speaker 15:28
Well, yes. Is this what the I think people respect. Because they know, they was, you know, you can play basketball, I guess we do certain things. And then other people can't. But they also play they kind of respect you know how to do it is a weird thing.

Unknown Speaker 15:45
Okay, I can, I can understand that. So, Vic, I want you to get back to September 15. We need our listeners to now. Okay, what's going on? How can they get there? What do they need to do to be there?

Unknown Speaker 16:01
Check this out. We're still looking for hip hop dancers. Okay, we're looking for artists. And the best way to get off is to come down Wednesday to I win TV.

Unknown Speaker 16:15
So they need to come that day. The day of the event? No, no,

Unknown Speaker 16:20
Wednesday, the end of the event, we will have a that's what we're gonna do the study party that starts at 10am Until two, okay, come down there and get involved in then we'll be going to the concert at four. And that's where you're going to check out the rappeler West artists of the local artists we have here. You know, we got some artists already signed on that it can be performing. And that's locally, diamond in the price. Most Mr. King over there, he's been helping the whole production. And next thing is we try to get some more local people down there because I want to I want rapid I was to see the local talent. Okay. So if you are a person that's interested in opportunity to have your music on album that has, you know, poppet artists on it from what rapper? That was, those are people looking to come down.

Unknown Speaker 17:37
Oh, wow. So that's, that's totally loaded. So you heard that everyone need to get in touch with who to be there. If they need another address, if they need a phone number, if they didn't record this, if they're not on? Its where I am.com? How will they find information to be at this event? Tell us one more time?

Unknown Speaker 18:02
Well, OSHA has TV is Instagram. And you know, that's where everybody's at. Home shots TVs on Google brings you all the way to our phone number 323-841-7968 This takes that takes your Instagram to that. And like I said, we need the hip hop dancers that we're wanting to perform with artists. We need live bands that will want to perform with the artists and we look for local artists that are interested in getting involved. And now we're bonuses. Even the people that come on people to come down. I'm a producer as well. We're working on a movie that shooting in LA and it starts the 17th when I leave in there still a couple of feature roles available. So how the web hook shot booth there at the event on the 15th where you can submit for that. So you can come down to check out the new artists and you've come down to get your own entertainment career started, you know, all right here

Unknown Speaker 19:25
now we can't see or hear that on the radio so you'll have to describe it. Oh, what are you trying to show me on the phone

Unknown Speaker 19:33
is what is my little marketing that I'm putting together for the 15th and I'm gonna put on Instagram. It's just a little acting scene, but for most of the 15 and that's what we've been meeting every Wednesday trying to get in touch with people that are available on the 15th if you off on the 15th Come on down.

Unknown Speaker 19:54
Well, I will be available and I will be there in support of you there. care and support. If I win TV, and in support of Las Vegas,

Unknown Speaker 20:05
I want to I want to give a special thanks. And a warm welcome that bow TV. And in so having given me I met them at my gym just a while I've known about for years, but bow TV, they're producing this chill spot that was producing this. And they brought me in managing to work with them on it. wrapper that was, you know, we have to have them evolve. And but for me, it's really I just can't wait to find out what local artists I'm going to meet in that's, that's going to do a hit with them. And what local person I'm going to meet that's going to probably be in a movie or TV show. You know,

Unknown Speaker 20:49
the next big star from Las Vegas

Unknown Speaker 21:31
okay, my bad. I'm cutting you off.

Unknown Speaker 21:33
Okay, it's okay. And you will be performing there or will you be a judge there? What is your role in this?

Unknown Speaker 21:41
Right? I wear many hats. So, you know, I'm gonna be performing because you know, that's on the on the side or, you know, I got talent or what have you. I've been making albums. And that's kind of how we started was through my albums. But also, you know, I'm, we're hooked shots. It was a big battle, putting the event together. So you'll see me doing that too. But you know, I'm always like, whatever is needed. You might see me sweeping floors. You never know.

Unknown Speaker 22:08
Now B you are an artist on rap a lot records. How long have you been on that label?

Unknown Speaker 22:16
Well, this year one rap a lot West. Oh, awesome. Yeah. So I'm a on the on the foundation side of rapper Kanye West song, the CEO side. And on the artist side.

Unknown Speaker 22:29

Unknown Speaker 22:40
Oh, yeah, definitely. It's gonna be you know, it's gonna be entertaining. And also, I'm gonna say some, it might be harsh, but it's gonna be reality.

Unknown Speaker 22:49
Oh, oh, so. So those who are looking to become rap artists, you're gonna give it to him? Like, you know, lay it out real tough or what?

Unknown Speaker 22:59

Unknown Speaker 23:15
Okay, because I might get up there and do some dance moves. I used to be a hip hop dancer.

Unknown Speaker 23:22

Unknown Speaker 23:54
