Good morning Las Vegas its Zondra cologuard hits where I can. today. My guest is Ari L from Arielle live TV. Now, as I mentioned last week, it is mental health awareness month. Okay, so in the month of May, we're bringing awareness to you which I do every week. So having Arielle here, we're going to further promote this awareness and talk about some of the things she's doing on her program. We're also going to talk about a few of her mental health agencies that she has in Las Vegas, California, and Arizona. So let's get started with Arielle, welcome to the show.
Unknown Speaker 1:46
Thank you so much for inviting me on of course, I wanted to say thank you to Trey for having me. You guys here.
Zandra Polard 1:53
Oh, yes. Now Trey was on the show. Trey from the talent pound introduced us to further our mission here with it's where I am. So we want to thank him for the introduction. So thank you, Trey. Okay, so let's talk about first, you are the founder and president of the diversity Chamber of Commerce in Nevada. Correct?
Unknown Speaker 2:20
Correct. It's not just the chamber. I also president, former Lions Clubs saw and also I'm the regional vice president of Federation, Philippine American Chamber of Commerce, so it's more wider. Oh,
Unknown Speaker 2:36
wow. So beyond Nevada? Yes. Okay. It's
Unknown Speaker 2:40
all over the world. Oh,
Zandra Polard 2:41
my goodness. Yes. Okay, so we are international. Correct. With reo. So Ari, what made you decide to start this foundation? And when did you when did it open?
Unknown Speaker 2:55
I grew up in the Philippines, helping my family on the business. And they've been helping people almost every day. So basically, I grew up so wherever I'm at, we travel around the world because I used to be married to a military. So every country, every city, I actually donated my time in apart because there's so many people needs help, not just as there's so many people also lost their business, lost their job lost their home. In fact, right now, we're housing so many people losing their homes, and they're not just regular homeless, they are regular people like us. You know, right now we have people in parent that we've been helping, you know, it's so many out there that dying that needed the place, but we cannot do so much unless you embrace everyone if you don't embrace everyone. You know, a lot of people created their own nonprofit organization, but they do their own thing. You know, they get the grind, but why are they? Oh,
Zandra Polard 3:53
I know. That's right. Yes. And then where's the hell? Yeah,
Unknown Speaker 3:57
they've been promising to take care the homeless to take their the veterans that's they're always ticket when they run for a campaign or when they run for nonprofit. They always use a ticket but they're still there running around. You know why there's so much on the homelessness is drag, drag addiction. You know, mental health, mental health, illness, illness, not just not just the homeless everyone. Sometimes I do two three sometimes had that too. We all have a mental issue. Yes, man. Remember the pandemic we go through to that not just in a regular day if you have a boyfriend or a husband or you're having a relationship and you don't get along? That's also mental health? Oh,
Zandra Polard 4:45
yes. Yeah, that's my biggest thing is the relationship that that's where my mental struggles
Unknown Speaker 4:52
Yeah, I was single since 2004. I thought I'm not gonna have any men in my life because I always say, Why do I need a man in my life? If I can do everything and I can do things in life. But I think you need someone in your life just to talk to you just to have someone that you have your memory because if you don't talk to someone or go to Karaca and don't read, sometimes your memory will last. So that's what we have behavioral and mental health.
Zandra Polard 5:18
Well, they say if you don't use it, you lose it. Right? Correct. So let's get in you talked about the diversity Chamber of Commerce, not only in Nevada, but internationally, which is awesome. So if people before we go on to the next next topic, if people want to get involved in the commerce, how do they do that?
Unknown Speaker 5:38
They can go online. We have a website. Okay. DCC, org Nevada, or I'm always in district because I also on the television network. I have the show every every week, twice a week, Thursday and Friday. So
Zandra Polard 5:52
Thursday and Friday. She's talking about Arielle, live TV.
Unknown Speaker 5:57
I like that you're causing ARIA live TV.
Zandra Polard 6:01
Well, you know, I watched a few of your shows before. Yeah, you should be
Unknown Speaker 6:05
my co host one day. Yeah, I would love to Thursday. come on board tomorrow. Tomorrow. Okay. Yeah, my calls tomorrow. All right. Awesome. About all this promising candidate. We actually just came back from Carson City we lobby. Okay. You know, it's because it's Asian American Pacific Islander. Okay. Yesterday, and that's Monday and Sunday. We lobby we get to meet all the assemblyman. They are 38 Assemblyman Assemblywoman and some of the senators and of course, we got to meet lieutenant governor, Stavros Anthony and you know, we lobby some of the issues of the mental health also and other things, business education. Many things so lobby.
Zandra Polard 6:53
Yeah, that's what I want to get into. I want to talk we talked about Arielle, live TV. We've talked about the diversity, Chamber of Commerce in Nevada and internationally. I want to talk about because this is Mental Health Awareness Month, yes. I want to talk about Nevada Prime Care.
Unknown Speaker 7:14
The vital Branca is one of the my clinic but my other clinic is a health health healthcare medical clinic. And let's talk about salvage state health services because Silver State Health Services, they're focused on mental health and they are nonprofit organization. And they always welcome the non insurance, you know, people that doesn't have insurance doesn't that they cannot reach, where to find where to go. So Silver State Health Services is a nonprofit organization. They are federally funded, and they also take care of refugees, non immigrant, and all the community, they are welcomed,
Zandra Polard 7:52
that you work with the owner of
Unknown Speaker 7:57
No, he's dicey or mark, the CEO of Celbridge, state health service services we embrace together to help the resource center. So basically, he is paneling held to diversity, Chamber of Commerce in diversity, charter Chamber of Commerce are helping also churches. And as I said, we have so many homeless, not just regular homeless,
Zandra Polard 8:18
you guys are doing some amazing work. Now mark is the CEO of Silver State behavioral health, and he will be on the show in about 10 minutes or so. So make sure you stay tuned in so that, you know we can hear what Mark has to say. So I know that they do you have for agencies, Mark? Yes, the CEO for agencies here in Nevada. So as far as you and the work that you're doing with mental health, you mentioned that you're helping the homeless.
Unknown Speaker 8:49
Yes, we do. As I said, sovereign state health services, the nonprofit organization, help me nonprofit to support sustain the needs. It's not just, okay, you're homeless. Now, it's everyone, not just the homeless. So let's say you're looking for a job we help that too. We give you a job, we find your job we ask you what can you do? And then if you can't do anything we hired also we are we are also federally funded. Now I'm sorry. Article. We have so many businesses that we can actually hire people we are looking to hire university students here because we are also disabled veterans, we bid contract, we are actually also government contract. So I hire I have people independent. Okay, so on my clinic, if you don't have any insurance, they say Sandra, or yellow, I don't have any insurance. So I said, okay, just pay me $50 So you can get in the beauty about my clinic. It's basically mobile. So let's say your family is sick, Hey, are you out? My family are sick, so I said, Okay, give me your insurance. Let me see if you're eligible. Okay, so then I'll send the doctor to your house. I sent the office. I sent everything in there. That's the beauty of bada. You don't need to go to the clinic. Wow. That's beautiful.
Zandra Polard 10:11
What is the age group that you start anyone? Okay, from two to the lifespan or Babbage,
Unknown Speaker 10:17
everyone, everybody, everybody. Wow. Yeah, that's the beauty about it. Mobile.
Zandra Polard 10:22
Wow. So you have a huge staff so you have doctors nurses? Yeah. Yeah. Everything No,
Unknown Speaker 10:28
we actually contracting to the mobile like other company saw. We hired them to do the phlebotomist, EKG, X ray, like the ultrasound. We hired them and we joint venture.
Zandra Polard 10:49
That that's beautiful. That's wonderful how you're helping the community. So now you mentioned that you have clinics in not only Las Vegas in Pahrump, Arizona, California. Now we're in Arizona and California,
Unknown Speaker 11:04
where they missa and the other one is Pomona Mesa, actually, if you had the license in California, it's covered everywhere. You just had to get the business license for another location in the same thing in Vegas. Clark County and City are different. So you had to still get the business license on city and then Clark County and then boulder in North Las Vegas. Okay. Yeah. Wonderful.
Zandra Polard 11:30
So I know Mark should be chiming in pretty soon here. So he can go further into some of the things that you guys are doing. But before he, as we're waiting for him to call in. Tell us about the workshop. I believe it's a workshop on May 13. You have something going on? This
Unknown Speaker 11:48
is not a workshop. It's just a networking. Let's say you're on the buzzer. Okay, so you can exactly make sure yeah, you can exhibit your business and you can say, hey, this is what I do. I don't want to do the typical chamber like everybody else, everyone will speak now. You rather collaborate with them and show the exhibit of your business you know, just it's about business networking, okay, you know, if we can help them to find a funder, or to get your, you know, hard money loan, we have that, you know, we have a lot of resource.
Zandra Polard 12:19
So if you would like to be a part of this mixer on May 13. Yeah, give the listeners some information on how to contact you. Hi,
Unknown Speaker 12:29
guys. Just go to 317 South Sixth Street. And also we have after the business networking of diversity Chamber of Commerce, it's mark me August birthday. So you guys can join us also, after that it's a party just wear your 60s. Also
Zandra Polard 12:46
their 60s attire. Oh, nice. Yes.
Unknown Speaker 12:50
You can wear your bling bling. Yeah. You'd be my co host tomorrow.
Zandra Polard 12:55
Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. So we have mark on the line. Mark, can you hear us?
Unknown Speaker 13:00
Yes. Hi Sondra. Hello, I'm
Zandra Polard 13:03
so excited. I'm going to see you all tomorrow. And I'm looking forward to May 13. I hear it's your birthday.
Unknown Speaker 13:11
It sure is. It's actually the 15th but we're going to celebrate on the 13th and
Zandra Polard 13:17
I will be there. So Arielle was giving our listeners some information on if they'd like to come and join or if they'd like to be a part of they can call one number
Unknown Speaker 13:32
702-969-8785 And one more time 702-969-8785. And you can join us during also talk about your health, healthcare, you know,
Zandra Polard 13:46
okay, all right. And you know, your family, your loved one, somebody who may need some sort of insurance or health service services because we all know them. Right. All right. So Mark, welcome. Welcome. Welcome again. Arielle was telling us about Silver State behavioral health.
Unknown Speaker 14:08
Yes. Yes, so Silver State Health Services has been around since 2014. We're a nonprofit 501 C three. And we have a special status, which is known as a federally qualified health care system center. And it's called FQHC. And what that means is that we get federal grants to help support low income families in different neighborhoods, particularly in rural areas and low income areas. Okay.
Zandra Polard 14:41
So does this also, do you also do the mobile piece, like Arielle, or is that all together?
Unknown Speaker 14:51
So what we're doing is many of the homeless encampments, the people from these homeless areas don't have transportation Shouldn't and so we have just started a program to send mobile units into the field. And it's a little different from home health. But essentially, we're going into the homeless encampments and providing a mobile service. So we basically have a mobile vehicle. And we set up tents. And we just let the homeless people come to us in the encampments, and we service them and provide mental and behavioral health services, as well as primary care services. Okay.
Zandra Polard 15:33
Yeah. You know, Mark Hi was, I was the director of a couple of mental health agencies here in Nevada, or in Las Vegas. And that was a huge issue was the transportation, getting people to the agency? Because you know, when you're dealing with mental health, a lot of times it's difficult, just to get people out of the house. And especially now with the heat coming, you know, it's kind of hard to get folks out. So if there is someone closer, right, that's walking distance, you can, it's more attainable.
Unknown Speaker 16:14
That's correct. And so we're really focused on the corridor of hope, where there's a concentration of homelessness. And what we do is we go out to the corridor of hope, and we see patients in the field, one of the things that have has really revolutionized this possibility is telehealth. And so we have many therapists around the city. And this allows us to have our mobile team set up telehealth sessions for the for the people in the streets, and I'm telling you, it is really catching on fire people, just the homeless people love talking to our therapists, they love getting advice. Our therapists feel so good about helping these people get different services and, and being actively, you know, helping them to either get food stamps, EBT, whatever, whatever it may be. Our social workers and our therapists are there and meeting the needs of the homeless. And so it's kind of gratifying on both sides. The homeless people really enjoy when when we come on site, and we're
Zandra Polard 17:25
because they have someone that's going to listen, right? Someone is listening.
Unknown Speaker 17:32
Yes, absolutely. And while we're there, we are also doing the primary care. So we can do. We can do lab work, we can do physical checkups, and we can actually prescribe medicines, and we'll be delivering medications into the field. So that's going to be a big change for a lot of these homeless people. medications that they need. Oh,
Zandra Polard 17:56
that is awesome. Now, what do you do in terms of identification?
Unknown Speaker 18:04
Do they normally? Yes, we do require identification. And so normally, they do provide some type of some form of ID, whether whether they're an immigrant status, so we don't check legal status, but we do require an ID to identify them and to do follow up. Now, what is one requirement?
Zandra Polard 18:29
Now, what do you say to those people out there who are not homeless, but are in need of health care services or mental health services? Because I don't want people to think, you know, as they're listening? Well, I'm not homeless. So this doesn't apply to me. Yes, it applies to you too.
Unknown Speaker 18:51
You know, and it's so sad. In today's society, we have a lot of middle class families that are just one rent check one mortgage payment away from being homeless, they have, you know, some something an accident, and they can't pay their bills, and all of a sudden, you know, they get evicted. And so we see a bigger and bigger trend of evictions. And so sober state health services wants to make ourselves available to for those families that are recently homeless. Currently, we do not work due to housing component. But we're working with diversity Chamber of Commerce to put a more holistic package together. Currently, we're just focused on primary care and mental and behavioral health. But we certainly recognize the need for temporary housing. And there's a tremendous shortage and we were seeing more and more people ending up on the streets.
Zandra Polard 19:50
Wow. Well, I thank you again, mark for being here and representing Silver State Health Services. Can you please provide a A contact information.
